“Change requires a lot of heat. It requires both the alchemist and the welder, the magician and the laborer, the witch and the warrior, the myth-smasher and the myth-maker. Hand in Hand, we brew and forge a revolution.”

-- Gloria Anzaldúa, El Mundo Zurdo: The Vision

Interesting books. delicious wine. good coffee. What more can you ask for, honestly?
Book Club, a bookstore and winebar, in NYC's East Village is officially opened as of the beginning of November. The owners, Erin Neary and Nat Esten actually met at a book club and have achieved their dream of creating a cozy space to enjoy the best parts of life in their community. While the beer and wine selection isn't live for another year, they're serving up local MUD coffee that you can enjoy while perusing over 3,000 titles at the store.

Events will include book signings, talks, and trivia nights. Among the inventory are genres ranging from sci-fi to history to YA, and lots of little gifts and non-book items. It's a perfect spot to dive into a new book and curl up in a comfy chair.

Location: 197 East 3rd Street, New York, NY 10009Websitehttps://www.bookclubbar.com/
